It’s a Purple Holiday Season as Purdys Chocolatier Opens Pop-Up Locations Across Canada

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Beginning November 1, Canada’s much-loved Purdys Chocolatier is bringing its renowned chocolates to new markets with the launch of six pop-up shops across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario. Reaching more Canadians right in time for gift-giving and entertaining season, chocolate lovers in these regions will now be able to shop Purdys Chocolatier even closer to home.

This marks the second consecutive year that Purdys Chocolatier is opening pop-up shops following the success of last year’s pop-ups in Courtenay, BC, Cranbrook, BC, and Fort McMurray, AB. “We saw an overwhelmingly positive response from our customers who were able to shop in these new locations last year,” says Kriston Dean, VP of Sales and Marketing, Purdys Chocolatier. “The three stores outperformed our expectations, with year-to-date sales 14.5 per cent above target.”

Due to last year’s success, two of the pop-ups became permanent locations at Tamarack Mall in Cranbrook, BC, and Peter Pond Mall in Fort McMurray, AB. Purdys Chocolatier is now expanding its pop-up footprint to reach even more communities across the country. The company has also listened to its customers in determining where these next pop-up shops should be. In addition to delving into data from sales channels and social media, they’ve received countless comments from loyal customers. The six locations for these pop-up shops will be:

• Driftwood Mall – Courtenay, BC
• LloydMall – Lloydminster, AB
• South Edmonton Common – Edmonton, AB
• Cornwall Centre – Regina, SK
• The Centre Mall – Saskatoon, SK
• Niagara Pen Centre – St. Catharines, ON

Purdys Chocolatier has designed and produced a series of innovative modular fixturing sets that pack down into single boxes enabling the brand to seamlessly set up in various commercial retail spaces. The modular units are constructed to closely replicate the look and feel of Purdys’ permanent shops, ensuring that new customers have the same delicious brand experience as others – and come back for more.

Immediately following Halloween, on November 1st 2024, all six pop-ups are scheduled to open.
