Suffolk Hires Erin Lovering as Chief People Officer to Support Operational Expansion, Enhance Employee Experience and Bolster Employee Hiring Efforts

Innovative builder hires experienced human resources executive with a strong track record for solving organizational challenges, developing leaders, strengthening cultures and delivering results

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Suffolk, one of the most innovative and forward-thinking builders in the country, has hired experienced human resources executive Erin Lovering as its new Chief People Officer. Ms. Lovering will be responsible for all aspects of human resources on a national scale and will work with Suffolk’s executive leaders to expand Suffolk’s national brand presence, strengthen its commitment to the employee experience and position the company for sustainable growth.

Suffolk’s hiring of Ms. Lovering is aligned with its ambitious five-year strategy, AC28 or America’s Contractor 2028. Ms. Lovering has 30+ years of experience driving human resources strategy, solving organizational challenges, developing leaders and strengthening corporate cultures. She has experience building cohesive and high-performing teams, and has been recognized for her ability to drive business strategy through her use of data, coaching leadership and commitment to leveraging innovative human resources solutions that add value.

Prior to joining Suffolk, Ms. Lovering served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Edelman Financial Engines, where she led a 30-person team and supported more than 1600 employees in 39 states and India. At Edelman, she was responsible for talent acquisition, talent management/development, employee experience, HR operations, compensation and benefits, workforce analytics and benefits. Her previous experience also includes serving as Head of Human Resources/SVP for the Healthcare and APS Division at Fidelity Investments where she leveraged her human resources expertise to improve business performance across multiple divisions while focusing on digital healthcare/benefit offerings, digital solutions and operational excellence.

Ms. Lovering has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Master of Science degree in HR/Organizational Development from Lesley University in Cambridge.
