Enlightened Generation Launches First Children's Clothing Brand Connecting Kids, Fashion, and Education

Co-founded by a New York Times best-selling author and apparel industry veterans, in coordination with a global team of creators, designers, educators, nonprofits, producers, manufacturers, and sales team members, the brand combines fashion with global learning experiences designed to help families connect and learn together

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Enlightened Generation, a groundbreaking children’s clothing brand with an educational and impact-driven mission, officially launches today. Designed for children ages 3-10 and their grown-ups, Enlightened Generation offers more than just classic and beautifully made apparel – it delivers a one-of-a-kind experience inspiring families to learn, explore, and connect.

Co-founded by a former educator and New York Times best-selling children’s author, Susan Verde, and apparel industry veteran, Robyn Stotter, Enlightened Generation brings together a global team of creators, designers, educators, nonprofits, producers, manufacturers, and sales team members, spanning the U.S., France, Spain, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Peru, Rapa Nui (Easter Island), Vietnam, Japan, China, and the UAE.

At the heart of the brand is a simple yet powerful message: Curiosity opens doors to learning, empathy, and growth. Enlightened Generation offers a new avenue for families to step away from screens and engage with the mysteries and wonders of the world – together.

The launch introduces six thoughtfully curated clothing collections, each centered around a beautifully bound, original book written by Verde, whose books have sold over 3 million copies worldwide. Filled with breathtaking photographs, simple prompts for younger children, and deeper explorations for older readers, the books celebrate real places, people, and ideas from around the world and are designed to grow with kids over time.

The debut titles include: The Nasca Lines of Peru and The Moai of Rapa Nui (Mysteries of the World), Grand Prismatic Spring (Natural Wonders), The Leaf Sheep (Amazing Animals), The Mysteries of Language and Communication (Language Exploration), and Clean Water (Global Acts of Kindness). Every item of clothing showcases an eye-catching image from the collection’s theme, designed to prompt questions and discovery.

Each Enlightened Generation purchase supports families and communities around the world through the brand’s Give Back program. Five percent of each sale is donated to GlobalGiving, benefiting educators and nonprofits aligned with each collection’s theme. The nonprofit organizations benefiting from the first collections include the Georgie Badiel Foundation, Ocean Blue Project, Reading Is Fundamental, Toki Rapa Nui, United Way Peru and Yellowstone Forever.

“We believe parents and caregivers are looking for ways to engage their children in meaningful conversations about the world…but between work, daily schedules, and screen distractions, finding those moments and topics is challenging,” said Stotter. “We offer busy families an opportunity to pause, explore, and be reminded of the magic and meaning in the world around us, and the people making a difference.”

How it works: Families browse the collections covering categories that include Mysteries of the World, Natural Wonders of the World, Amazing Animals, Mysteries of Language and Communication and Global Acts of Kindness. They then choose from a range of options including hoodies, t-shirts, shorts, leggings, and more. Each order arrives in a specially designed box containing the item(s) they selected, an original book written on the topic by Verde, and engaging discovery tools. Children are also invited to submit their own “enlightened” creations for a chance to win a magical, one-of-a-kind experience.

“Curiosity is a superpower driving learning and emotional growth,” added Verde. “These shared moments of discovery help children develop questioning minds to serve them for life.”

Enlightened Generation has created a Global Board of Educators ensuring the brand is mindful of the variety of teaching and learning styles around the world. This team also helps select winners for the brand’s immersive learning experiences.
