The Knot Launches The Engagement Era Collection Featuring Invitations, Wedding Websites and Registry Picks Inspired by America’s Favorite Lovers

Starting at 3pm Today in NYC, The Knot Will Recreate “the” Floral Proposal Backdrop with Free Professional Portraits in Madison Square Park

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Everyone’s favorite English teacher and gym teacher are engaged—and The Knot is celebrating. Today, The Knot, a leading all-in-one wedding planning tech platform, announces the launch of The Engagement Era Collection, featuring invitations, wedding websites, and registry picks inspired by America’s Favorite Lovers. The curated collection offers couples inspiration as they navigate their own unique wedding planning journey—from the Fairytale and New Romantics invitation collections and wedding website themes, to unique registry gift picks like sourdough essentials and one-of-a-kind experiences like NFL tickets.

“According to our latest data, 37% of couples said the engagement of music and sports’ most famous pairing made them even more excited about their own*,” said Kiara Kempski, Vice President of Consumer Marketing at The Knot. “As a leader in digital wedding planning, we joined our couples in celebrating this cultural moment and worked quickly to launch a replica gazebo that recreates the now-famous engagement moment, all enabled by vendors in our marketplace. We love giving real couples the ability to have magical moments to plan their weddings, including a full suite of invitations, registry items, and wedding websites from our Engagement Era Collection.”

Today at 3 p.m. ET in Madison Square Park, The Knot is also offering free professional photos in front of a larger-than-life floral recreation of the “proposal of the year.” With help from wedding pros on The Knot Vendor Marketplace, The Knot’s Enchanted Garden invites everyone—couples, besties, family, colleagues—to create their own iconic moment. Wedding florist The Floral Way will recreate the jaw-dropping proposal gazebo covered in garden roses, hydrangeas, anemones and more, and photographer So Tender is Humanity will take complimentary portraits of anyone that stops by. Adorned with signage from Dogwood Blossom Stationery and Invitation Studio, The Knot’s Enchanted Garden will take place on the Farragut Lawn ahead of a live screening of the women’s tennis semifinals on September 4.

“We’re feeling so high school in Madison Square Park today,” said Holly Leicht, Executive Director of Madison Square Park Conservancy. “There’s no more beautiful oasis in New York City to celebrate love.”
