Transcarent Appoints Dr. Alan Roga as Chief Clinical Officer

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Transcarent, the One Place for Health and Care, announced today that Dr. Alan Roga, MD, has joined the company as Chief Clinical Officer.

Dr. Roga is a respected physician, entrepreneur, and healthcare leader with more than 30 years of experience at the intersection of care delivery and technology. He has led clinical organizations through rapid growth and integrated acquired solutions to deliver a more holistic health and care experience.

An emergency medicine physician by training, Dr. Roga founded StatDoctors, which was later acquired by Teladoc Health. He built and led the Teladoc Health Hospital and Health Systems Business Unit before being promoted to Chief of Clinical Operations where he scaled operations and improved profit margins and service levels across multiple products.

Most recently, Dr. Roga served as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TruLite Health, a comprehensive technology platform designed to optimize outcomes and costs for diverse populations. In this transition, he will remain a board member and supporter of the company.

Previously, Dr. Roga served as President of Scottsdale Emergency Associates, a leading Arizona emergency medicine physician group and as Chairman of the Emergency Department of Scottsdale Healthcare (now HonorHealth).

Dr. Roga is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and a diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He holds a medical degree from the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University and a Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany.
