Ameriprise Financial Employees, Advisors and Clients Unite to Support Hunger-Relief Organizations Ahead of the Holiday Season

Ameriprise also donated $3 million in grants to support individuals, families and communities

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For the 16th consecutive year, Ameriprise Financial is supporting Feeding America®, The Global FoodBanking Network, Meals on Wheels America and numerous other hunger-relief organizations to help provide meals for families and individuals ahead of the holiday season. On November 6, thousands of Ameriprise employees, advisors and clients will volunteer at hunger-relief nonprofits. The event is part of the firm’s Ameriprise Day of Service, which the company organizes each year to help people experiencing food insecurity. Volunteers will serve meals, sort bulk food donations, stock shelves, and host food drives – making a meaningful impact in the communities where they live and work.

“At Ameriprise, we believe in consistently showing up for our communities – especially when times are tough,” said Jennifer Jones, Head of Community Relations at Ameriprise. “This year marks our 16th consecutive Ameriprise Day of Service, and the need is greater than ever. With more families uncertain about where their next meal will come from and hunger-relief organizations stretched thin, our volunteers are stepping up to lend a hand. It’s a reflection of our values and a testament to our long-standing commitment to help alleviate hunger.”

Since the inception of the Ameriprise Day of Service in 2009, the firm has helped provide more than 142 million meals and volunteers have contributed over 400,000 hours to hunger-relief efforts.

Ameriprise Gives $5 Million in Grants to Nonprofits in 2025

Along with its companywide volunteer events, Ameriprise is donating nearly $3 million in grants to 119 nonprofits in its second grant cycle of the year as part of the firm’s ongoing corporate giving. Ameriprise focuses on three key giving areas when awarding grants: meeting basic needs, supporting vibrant communities, and amplifying the impact of the firm’s volunteers. In total, the company has donated nearly $5 million and supported more than 200 nonprofits through its two grant cycles in 2025.

Ameriprise also recently announced an additional $100,000 grant to Feeding America in celebration of its 20th anniversary as an independent, publicly traded company – reinforcing its long-standing commitment to hunger-relief.
