Rafay Unveils Version 4.0 of the Company’s Eponymous Platform to Further Simplify Kubernetes Management and Accelerate Cloud-Native Operations

Latest release delivers new capabilities to address governance, automation, and hybrid workload challenges for enterprise platform teams managing modern Kubernetes environments.

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rafay Systems, a leading provider of infrastructure orchestration and workflow automation for Kubernetes and GPU-based environments, today announced new capabilities in the Rafay Platform that are being delivered as part of the platform’s 4.0 version. Version 4.0 is generally available today. These enhancements help enterprise platform teams streamline operations, strengthen governance, and accelerate cloud-native workloads across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Rafay’s latest feature enhancements introduce a series of improvements to simplify Day-2 operations and enable true developer self-service without compromising compliance or control.

New Rafay platform capabilities designed for today’s platform teams include:

  • Enhanced Managed Kubernetes Service: Platform Versioning for phased, controlled upgrades, direct node-level debug log downloads for faster troubleshooting, and expanded platform support for VMware vSphere, Nutanix, and Flatcar Linux. These updates help reduce upgrade risks and ensure consistent operations across environments.
  • Developer Self-Service with Built-In Governance: The updated Environment Manager framework enables platform teams to create pre-configured, compliant environments that developers can provision instantly. This allows organizations to deliver a cloud-like experience internally – accelerating delivery timelines while maintaining governance policies.
  • Secure, Scalable GitOps Deployments: The new Zero Trust Kubernetes Access (ZTKA) model enhances security for large-scale GitOps operations. The capability introduces a dedicated customer proxy for ArgoCD deployments, ensuring secure, identity-aware access across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Expanded Workflow Automation: Environment Manager now includes agent pool configuration for simplified scaling and custom workflow handlers for Python and Go, enabling teams to build multi-stage automation pipelines without writing custom code.
  • Blueprint Drafts for Kubernetes Add-On Lifecycle Management: Enhancements to the Blueprints capability allow platform teams to test and validate changes in draft mode before production deployment, with performance improvements that reduce synchronization time for Day-2 operations.

“As more organizations embrace Kubernetes at scale, platform teams are under pressure to deliver faster, more reliable environments for developers while keeping governance intact,” said Haseeb Budhani, CEO and Co-Founder of Rafay Systems. “These new capabilities help teams remove the operational barriers that slow innovation. The Rafay Platform enables enterprises to consume infrastructure on demand in a manner that is safe, consistent, and without the overhead that traditionally comes with managing complex systems.”

These new enhancements build on the company’s mission to simplify how organizations deploy and scale AI, driving real business impact. Enterprises and cloud providers looking to support diverse consumption models, provide centralized paths to interact with remote clusters, and deliver cloud-like experiences for on-prem AI/ML workloads, can do so at scale and with ease by leveraging the 4.0 release of the Rafay Platform.
