Pacific Defense Delivers First CMFF MCI Systems Months After Award, Accelerating U.S. Army CMOSS Adoption

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pacific Defense today announced successful delivery of the first seven Mounted Common Infrastructure (MCI) systems under the U.S. Army’s CMOSS Mounted Form Factor (CMFF) MCI program. Awarded in September 2025, the contract’s initial tranche of systems was delivered within three months of program start, demonstrating rapid execution in direct support of the Army’s accelerated modernization objectives.

Our investment in CMOSS- and SOSA-aligned products allowed us to rapidly integrate and deliver systems that are ready to support experimentation today and evolve with the mission tomorrow. This is exactly what MOSA is meant to enable.

The early delivery highlights Pacific Defense’s ability to respond to customer demand at unprecedented speed by leveraging a mature, production-ready product portfolio. By entering the program with proven open-architecture hardware and software building blocks, Pacific Defense significantly minimized integration, test, and delivery timelines.

“Speed and adaptability are key requirements for this program, and our team was structured from day one to meet the Army where it is,” said Randy Huang, Product Line Leader at Pacific Defense. “Our investment in CMOSS- and SOSA-aligned products allowed us to rapidly integrate and deliver systems that are ready to support experimentation today and evolve with the mission tomorrow. This is exactly what MOSA is meant to enable.”

The CMFF MCI program is a cornerstone of the Army’s modernization strategy, providing a standardized vehicle-mounted digital infrastructure that enables faster capability insertion across communications, mission command, assured PNT, electronic warfare, and future C5ISR systems. Pacific Defense’s rapid deliveries provide the Army with early access to operationally relevant systems, accelerating software development, integration, and soldier-driven evaluation.

Pacific Defense remains focused on sustaining momentum on the CMFF MCI program while continuing to advance open-systems adoption across ground and aviation platforms, delivering interoperable, upgradeable, and mission-ready solutions at the pace demanded by modern conflict.
