Vantage Data Centers Appoints Alicia Ruckteschler as Chief Procurement Officer

Veteran procurement leader to drive innovation, cost efficiency and speed to market while scaling a rapidly growing global hyperscale portfolio

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vantage Data Centers, a leading global provider of hyperscale data center campuses, today announced that Alicia Ruckteschler has joined the company as chief procurement officer. In this role, Ruckteschler will lead Vantage’s global procurement function, overseeing end-to-end sourcing strategy, supplier partnerships and operations as the company continues its rapid expansion. Ruckteschler will report to Jeff Tench, global executive vice president, and will be based in Denver.

As chief procurement officer, Ruckteschler will play a critical role in shaping how Vantage delivers data center campuses globally, leading procurement as a strategic, execution-driven function embedded across the full project lifecycle. She will partner closely with internal technical teams and external vendors to align sourcing decisions with design, construction and long-term operational priorities, supporting the delivery of complex infrastructure at speed and scale. Her leadership will advance a globally coordinated procurement model that strengthens supplier partnerships, enhances resilience and supports Vantage’s continued expansion across markets.

Ruckteschler brings to Vantage more than two decades of procurement and supply chain leadership experience supporting large-scale data center, infrastructure and technology organizations. Most recently, she served as senior vice president and chief procurement officer at Equinix where she led a global organization of more than 140 professionals overseeing a portfolio of 275 data centers in 75 global markets. Her scope spanned major capital equipment, power procurement, network infrastructure, software and construction services, with a strong focus on operational resilience, cost optimization and sustainability. In this role, she also advised the bipartisan U.S. House AI Task Force in 2024, contributing expertise on data center infrastructure, energy and supply chain considerations as policymakers shape the future use of and opportunities for artificial intelligence.

Earlier in her career, Ruckteschler led infrastructure commodity management at Google where she built, scaled and mitigated risks for global sourcing, supporting large-scale data center deployments while delivering significant cost savings through supplier innovation and strategic sourcing. Her background also includes hands-on procurement leadership in construction and development environments, providing a deep understanding of the end-to-end lifecycle required to deliver complex infrastructure projects on time and on budget.

“Alicia brings an exceptional combination of strategic vision, operational rigor and deep hyperscale infrastructure experience to the Vantage leadership team,” said Tench. “Her ability to optimize global procurement organizations, strengthen supplier ecosystems, optimize costs and execute rapid growth will be critical as Vantage continues expanding our platform to meet unprecedented AI and hyperscale demand.”

“I’m excited to join Vantage at a moment of significant growth for the company and the industry,” said Ruckteschler. “Vantage’s focus on disciplined execution, collaboration and long-term value creation strongly aligns with my approach to strategic procurement. I look forward to partnering across the organization to build and optimize scalable procurement and sourcing capabilities that support our customers and enable sustainable global growth.”
