AGI Announces AGM Date and Responds to Plantro News Release

WINNIPEG, Manitoba--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ag Growth International Inc. (TSX: AFN) (“AGI”, the “Company”, “we”, or “us”) announces that its Board of Directors (“Board”) has set the date for the Company’s 2026 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (the “AGM”) for June 4, 2026 at 9:00 am Central Standard Time. The AGM will be held at AGI’s corporate office in Winnipeg. The record date for the AGM has been set for April 30, 2026.

This year’s proposed board slate includes five incumbent directors: Daniel Halyk (Chair), Jean-Philippe Choquette, George Armoyan, Steve Sommerfeld, and Brad Wall. The Board also anticipates nominating one additional candidate for election to the Board at the AGM. All of the current nominees have joined the Board within the past year and their collective focus has been to address business and financial challenges faced by AGI due in large part to decisions taken prior to their appointment to the Board. This includes decisions taken under the leadership of Tim Close, who served as AGI’s President and CEO from January 2016 to September 2022.

The AGM will provide shareholders with the opportunity to decide who will represent them on the Board. Until then, the Board remains unified in its belief that the Company must stay firmly focused on operating its business and executing on its restructuring plan, which includes simplifying the business, improving financial performance, and exceeding customer expectations.
