Nutter Strengthens Banking and Financial Services Group with Addition of Veteran Regulatory Attorney Daniel W. Hartman

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nutter announced the addition of Daniel W. Hartman, former counsel at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, as Of Counsel to its expanding Banking and Financial Services Group.

Hartman will provide legal counsel to banks and other financial institutions regarding mergers, new products and services, formal and informal regulatory enforcement actions and appeals, investigations and audits, and a wide range of other subject matters, including consumer protection and anti-money laundering regulations, and fintech activities and partnerships. His addition to Nutter’s Banking and Financial Services Group adds a unique perspective on the regulatory and business challenges faced by financial institutions during a period of increased regulatory scrutiny.

Hartman rejoins Nutter after spending four years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. He is a member of the American Bar Association Banking Law Committee and the Financial Services & E-Commerce Practice Group of the Federalist Society. Additionally, he served a four-year term as a member of the Massachusetts Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. Hartman earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School and his B.A. from Tufts University.
