Lyons & Simmons Earns Chambers Texas Spotlight Ranking

Trial firm among Texas firms honored for personal injury excellence

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The trial firm Lyons & Simmons is one of only two Dallas-based personal injury firms to earn recognition in the Chambers Texas Spotlight 2025 legal guide.

This is the first year that personal injury firms have been eligible for Chambers ranking, and a total of 16 personal injury firms were recognized statewide. Chambers Spotlight Texas highlights 201 law firms across 14 cities and 21 distinct practice areas in the 2025 edition of the Chambers USA Spotlight Guide.

“Chambers USA has long been one of the most prestigious and widely respected legal rankings. Earning our spot among the state’s leading personal injury firms is a tremendous honor,” said Lyons & Simmons co-founder, Michael Lyons.

Dedicated to representing victims of catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death, Lyons & Simmons has a proven track record of achieving record-breaking results for its clients. Since 2023, the firm has secured more than $1 billion in verdicts and settlements in a variety of catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases.

Earlier this month, a trial team comprised of Michael Lyons, Chris Simmons, Chris Carr, Wes Black, and Michael Wozniak secured a $109.5 million jury verdict against CPS Energy for a gas leak that led to a 2021 home explosion in San Antonio and left the residents with catastrophic injuries. After a two-week trial, the jury rejected CPS Energy’s position that the explosion was not caused by a natural gas leak and found CPS Energy 100% responsible.

“It is impossible to undo a tragedy such as this, but juries are the conscience of the community. In this case, the jury’s verdict made it crystal clear that gas companies are responsible for maintaining their gas utility systems to make them safe,” said firm co-founder Chris Simmons.

Chambers Spotlight listings are based on thousands of attorney and client interviews designed to identify law firms and lawyers that demonstrate the top technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, diligence, commitment and other qualities most valued by clients.
