U.S. Army Awards $13M IDIQ Contract to Element U.S. Space & Defense

The Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contract solidifies Element U.S. Space & Defense’s role as the Testing Leader for Military Protective Equipment

BELCAMP, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Element U.S. Space & Defense, a trusted leader in advanced testing and engineering services, has been awarded a multi-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract valued at $13,021,816 from United States Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG). Testing will be conducted at Element U.S. Space & Defense’s world class ballistics test facility in Belcamp, MD.

As a National Institute of Justice (NIJ) certified lab, the Belcamp site will be performing ballistic and non-ballistic testing on protective equipment intended for military use. Testing will adhere to U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs) across six key commodity categories: 1) head protection, 2) soft armor, 3) hard armor, 4) non-ballistic, 5) environmental, and 6) mechanical.
