Vialto Partners appoints Manabu Yamazaki as Partner, Tax and Social Security

Leader in global tax and risk management with decades of experience serving corporate clients brings deep expertise to help multinational companies navigate global compliance and risk

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vialto Partners, a global leader in workforce mobility, tax, and immigration solutions, today announced the appointment of Manabu Yamazaki as Partner in its Japan office. He is a highly respected tax and risk leader with tremendous experience providing a wide range of tax consulting services.

In his role, Yamazaki-san will oversee all aspects of Japanese multinational companies’ mobility needs and advise on their global work strategy. He reports directly to Marcus Wong, Partner and Japan Territory Leader at Vialto. Yamazaki will also serve as the representative tax accountant for Vialto Partners’ local entity in Japan.

Yamazaki-san brings deep expertise in providing tax consulting services to non-listed companies, dating back to 2007 when he worked for PwC in its Japan tax practice. He joined PwC China in Shanghai in 2010 and provided a wide range of services including corporate restructuring and individual income tax for expats and Japanese clients. He also has a strong track record advising MNCs in the Chinese market. In 2021, Yamazaki-san transferred to PwC’s China Beijing office and served as Tax leader for its Japan business development team. Upon joining Vialto he has relocated to Tokyo, pivoting his focus from China to Japan. His main responsibilities are global work consulting, immigration, payroll, and individual income tax.

“Vialto’s purpose—helping people thrive in a global, mobile world—is deeply aligned with my passion for talent, opportunity, and global citizenship,” said Yamazaki-san. “I am honored to join this ambitious and values-driven organization and look forward to collaborating with our teams in Japan, across Asia Pacific and worldwide to shape the future of work—and to be part of the solution that helps other global organizations move talent seamlessly across borders.”

“Yamazaki-san is an outstanding addition to our team and will help build upon our already strong global culture,” said Wong. “Yamazaki-san has a successful track record of building and retaining talent and supporting inclusive workplaces, all of which will be valued skills to support our employees to ensure they continue to have the resources they need to provide best in class solutions for our clients.”
