Leon Stok of IBM Elected Chair of Silicon Integration Initiative Board

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Silicon Integration Initiative (Si2) today announced that Dr. Leon Stok, Vice President of Electronic Design Automation at IBM, has been elected Chair of the Si2 Board of Directors for the remainder of the 2025–2026 term.

Dr. Stok has served on the Board of Si2 since 2007, previously holding several leadership roles, including prior terms as Board Chair. At IBM, he leads a team that delivers world-class design and verification flows and tools used to create some of the world’s most advanced computing systems, including IBM Z and Power systems and IBM Quantum Systems.

A recognized leader in electronic design automation (EDA), Dr. Stok earned his Ph.D. from Eindhoven University in 1991. He has delivered more than 40 keynotes, invited talks, and tutorials at major IEEE and ACM conferences worldwide and at leading universities. His research contributions include over 60 published papers on topics such as high-level architectural and logic synthesis, low-power design, placement-driven synthesis, and automated schematic placement and routing. He also holds 13 patents in EDA.
