Tellory Co-hosts New York City Event Celebrating Premiere of Balance: A Perimenopause Journey

An All-New Docuseries from Executive Producers Jeannie Mai, Alyssa Milano, and Award-Winning Filmmakers Sadhvi Siddhali Shree and Sadhvi Anubhuti

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tellory sponsored a luncheon in celebration of the premiere of Balance: A Perimenopause Journey, a new docuseries produced by Jeannie Mai and Alyssa Milano that explores the often misunderstood and under-discussed realities of perimenopause. The powerful four-episode docuseries, distributed by FilmHub, is available on-demand starting today on major streaming platforms, including Apple TV and Prime Video.

The invite-only luncheon was co-hosted by Tellory founder Janine Yorio alongside the filmmakers, Siddhali, Anubhuti, and Mai, an Emmy Award-winning television host, producer, and entrepreneur known for her work on The Real and her advocacy around women’s health, identity, and empowerment. The gathering convened health experts, journalists, and real women for conversation around a topic that has long lived in the shadows.

Balance follows two Jain monks who, after discovering their own low hormone levels are the result of perimenopause, set out to understand the symptoms disrupting their lives, including sleeplessness, fatigue, anxiety, and mood swings. Along the way, they confront widespread misinformation, lack of education, and systemic inequality within the medical system. Their search leads them to examine the long-lasting impact of the Women’s Health Initiative study published in 2002, which shaped decades of fear and misunderstanding around hormone therapy. The film is a call to action to challenge medical injustice, correct misinformation, and empower women to make informed choices about their bodies and their health.

Tellory’s sponsorship reflects the platform’s mission to help women navigate aging with clarity, honesty, and access to real information. Tellory is a discovery platform focused on women in their 40s and 50s, covering hormones, beauty, wellness, procedures, longevity, and lived experience through expert content and real stories.

In addition, promotional merchandise was provided by the following sponsors:

“We are in the middle of a menopause boom, with films, celebrity-backed brands, and pharma all rushing in at once,” said Janine Yorio, founder of Tellory. “Tellory is at the center of this cultural moment, giving women access to the truth about their bodies and the full range of choices they have not just for their hormones, but for all the mental and physical changes happening to their bodies in midlife.”

Mai adds, “Women talk about everything… until we reach perimenopause. The mood swings, hot flashes, brain fog – we’ve all been there, but almost no one speaks openly about it. Siddhali and Anubhuti open the door to honest, heartfelt conversations. I’m proud to be a part of something that empowers women and brings truth to a very real chapter of our lives.”
