• Resident age is rising: The average resident age was 84.9 years, with 75% of residents over age 80 and 30% age 90 or older.
• Chronic conditions are prevalent: Hypertensive disorders (61%), neurodegenerative disorders (56%), and cerebrovascular conditions (56%) were the most common diagnoses.
• Complex comorbidities are the norm: 44% of residents had both cerebrovascular and neurodegenerative conditions, highlighting layered clinical risk.
• Falls remain a significant concern: Communities reported 17,668 fall incidents in Q4 2025, a rate of 7.7 falls per 1,000 resident-days, with memory care residents experiencing falls at twice the rate of assisted living residents.
