Supplyframe Launches New Tariff Estimator on Findchips

Groundbreaking, single-click feature strengthens the ability of electronics manufacturing professionals to navigate tariff uncertainty

PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Supplyframe’s Findchips today launched its Tariff Estimator across a wide range of parts in the vast Findchips catalog. This groundbreaking new feature empowers engineers and sourcing professionals to translate Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Harmonized System (HS) codes and country-of-origin details into estimated tariff duty rates for imports into the U.S., providing a cost range for sourcing instead of a nebulous surcharge.

“In today’s world of extreme tariff uncertainty, the new Tariff Estimator – available on Findchips.com – provides engineers, sourcing, and procurement professionals with an easy way to estimate the cost impacts of tariffs,” said Supplyframe CEO and founder Steve Flagg.

This new capability is critical because tariffs are about more than just cost increases, they also present additional risks that can adversely impact speed of development and time to market. Worse yet, tariffs can have a ripple effect on the supply chain. Now teams suddenly must consider factors such as country of origin as part of their part selection process. This affects which suppliers they can use. The new Tariff Estimator on Findchips simplifies the confusion and complexity by estimating duty rates and comparing suppliers across different countries.

While other tariff calculators offer fewer input fields, usually opting to focus on country of origin and purchase price, the Findchips Tariff Estimator is unique in that it also allows users to input the HTS code and receive both total duty and total estimate charges in a single click.

A major focus of the new Tariff Estimator is also ensuring the data is up-to-date. The system checks the U.S. International Trade Commission’s website daily to ensure the most accurate rates for users.

“Tariff Estimator on Findchips is just the latest example of how Supplyframe is helping electronics manufacturing industry professionals navigate the volatile nature of the modern component market,” added Flagg. “This capability, combined with our industry-leading Design-to-Source Intelligence solutions, positions teams to fully understand the context around risk, cost, and lead times with every component they include in their bills of material (BOM).”

Find Tariff Estimator on the part details page on Findchips.com for a wide range of components. Use the “Quick Jump” section at the top of the page and select “Tariff Estimator” to get started.
