Casey’s Awards More Than $1.3 Million in Cash for Classrooms Grants

Grants supporting educational resources have been distributed to 100 schools in Casey’s communities.

  • This year, Casey’s awarded more than $1.3 million through 100 grants to K-12 public and nonprofit private schools in 17 states.
  • Since launching in 2020, Casey’s has distributed more than 500 grants totaling $6.2 million through the program.

ANKENY, Iowa--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Casey’s has distributed more than $1.3 million in Cash for Classrooms grants to 100 K-12 public and nonprofit private schools across Casey's Country.

The annual program provides individual grants of up to $50,000 for physical improvements, material needs, teacher support and community engagement initiatives. Since 2020, the program has raised $6.2 million, and this year’s $1.3 million total includes nearly $1 million in guest donations, just over $240,000 from Coca-Cola and $100,000 from Casey’s.

Examples of this year’s Cash for Classrooms grants include:

  • $50,000 to West Liberty Community School District (West Liberty, Iowa) to build an all‑inclusive, sensory‑friendly playground designed to serve students of all abilities.
  • $50,000 to USD 234 Eugene Ware Elementary School (Fort Scott, Kansas) to install an inclusive playground that promotes accessible outdoor learning and play.
  • $35,000 to Marshall County High School (Benton, Kentucky) to add a weather‑protective awning that improves accessibility for students using wheelchairs.
  • $30,000 to Waterford High School (Waterford, Wisconsin) to purchase new soccer shelters and benches supporting student‑athletes and outdoor activities.
  • $25,000 to Mountain View School District (Mountain View, Arkansas) to make building improvements across the district.
  • $6,983 to Northside Elementary School (Geneseo, Illinois) to purchase much‑needed furniture and materials for the art classroom.
  • $5,850 to Jones Elementary School (Springdale, Arkansas) to support fitness and activity through a walking classroom program.
