Allonnia Launches PFAS Prepare+ to Help Organizations Navigate PFAS Treatment Decisions

New assessment service provides site-specific PFAS analysis, treatment evaluation, and implementation planning before committing to full-scale infrastructure

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Allonnia today announced the launch of PFAS Prepare+, a comprehensive service designed to help organizations evaluate PFAS treatment options and develop a clear path forward before making capital investments or determining longer term treatment solutions.

As PFAS regulations continue to evolve and treatment requirements become more stringent, many organizations face a common challenge, understanding which treatment approach will be most effective and cost-efficient for their specific site conditions. PFAS Prepare+ addresses that challenge by combining confidential laboratory testing, technical analysis, and expert guidance into a structured engagement that delivers data on your site’s PFAS profile, actionable recommendations and implementation planning.

PFAS Prepare+ draws on Allonnia's extensive experience deploying SAFF® (Surface Active Foam Fractionation), distributed in North America by Allonnia and manufactured by EPOC Enviro. To date, the company has deployed or sold 25 SAFFs, completed approximately 30 field pilots, and conducted nearly 50 laboratory treatability studies, providing the technical foundation behind the service's site-specific recommendations.

"Many organizations know they need to address PFAS, but determining the right treatment strategy can be difficult," said Rob Rappold, VP of Business Development at Allonnia. "PFAS Prepare+ provides the data, validation, and technical insight needed to move from uncertainty to informed decision-making."

PFAS Prepare+ is designed for consultants, industrial operators, landfill owners, municipalities, utilities, and government agencies evaluating PFAS treatment options. The service provides customers with site-specific information on treatment performance, project economics, waste generation, and implementation considerations.

The program includes:

  • Baseline PFAS characterization using in-house laboratory analysis
  • Treatability testing utilizing Surface Active Foam Fractionation (SAFF®) technology
  • Comparative evaluation of treatment approaches, including conventional media-based technologies
  • Preliminary pilot planning and deployment framework, including budgetary capital and operating cost estimates
  • Strategy session and reviews with PFAS treatment experts

Unlike standard treatability studies that focus solely on laboratory results, PFAS Prepare+ is designed to provide a practical roadmap for implementation. Customers receive treatment performance projections, waste management considerations, pilot deployment guidance, and a framework for evaluating next steps. It is available immediately across North America.

SAFF uses foam fractionation to separate and concentrate PFAS into a small-volume waste stream without the use of adsorption media, delivering effective removal of both short- and long-chain PFAS, low operating costs, high concentration factors, and compatibility with a wide range of PFAS destruction technologies.
