APFC Governance Committee Reviews Proposed Benchmarking Charter

JUNEAU, Alaska--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation’s (APFC) Board of Trustees Governance Committee reviewed a proposed charter to establish a Benchmark Review Committee, an advisory body that would periodically evaluate the performance benchmarks identified in APFC’s Investment Policy and ensure they remain appropriate, transparent, and aligned with the Fund’s long-term objectives.

The proposed charter outlines how the Benchmark Review Committee would review and recommend changes to investment benchmarks. Under the proposal, the committee would assess the rationale for any benchmark modification, evaluate its potential impact on performance measurement, risk assessment, and reporting, and recommend an implementation timeline, including the effective date of any approved change. This process would help ensure benchmark decisions are well-founded, consistently applied, and supportive of APFC’s fiduciary responsibilities and investment goals.

The Governance Committee forwarded the proposal to the full Board of Trustees to consider at the September 30-October 1, 2026, Annual Meeting of the Board.
