WHOOP Names Kyle Leahy Chief Commercial Officer to Scale Premium Distribution and Drive Growth

Former Glossier CEO and Cole Haan executive joins to lead commercial expansion

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WHOOP, the human performance company, today named Kyle Leahy Chief Commercial Officer. Leahy will lead the company’s commercial organization, overseeing global wholesale and retail, partnerships, enterprise, and healthcare go-to-market strategy.

Leahy’s appointment comes as WHOOP expands with retailers and e-commerce marketplaces, grows its enterprise business, and builds relationships across healthcare in the United States and internationally.

Leahy most recently served as CEO of Glossier, where she led the company's transformation from a direct-to-consumer business into a global omnichannel company, including its launch in Sephora, and brought the business to profitability. Previously, she spent nearly a decade at Cole Haan, leading its $1 billion North America business and driving significant growth across e-commerce, retail and wholesale. She serves on the board of L.L.Bean and holds a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

WHOOP recently surpassed three million members worldwide, with international membership growing more than 11-fold since January 2023. The company is now available in 56 countries, with growth accelerating across direct-to-consumer and third-party channels. Last year, the WHOOP wholesale business grew more than 150% year-over-year for the third consecutive year.

“WHOOP is scaling rapidly across international markets and new channels,” said Will Ahmed, Founder and CEO of WHOOP. “Kyle has a proven track record of leading strong brands through rapid growth. She knows how to expand premium distribution and build the right partnerships without losing what makes a brand special. That experience will be critical as we bring WHOOP to more people around the world.”

“I’ve spent my career building brands that have a deep emotional and cultural connection with consumers, and WHOOP is one of those rare generational brands,” said Leahy. “WHOOP represents human potential, whether you are an elite athlete working to perform at your best, an 80-year-old managing AFib or a young mom trying to live the best version of her life. That range is incredibly powerful and gives WHOOP significant room to grow. I’m honored to join Will and be part of this incredible team that is shaping the future. My focus is to build on the momentum underway, expand distribution and partnerships, reach more people and accelerate profitable growth across the business.”

Her appointment supports the WHOOP mission of adding one billion healthy years to people’s lives. To learn more about WHOOP, visit whoop.com.
