AEVEX Appoints Chelsey Thomas as Vice President of Government Affairs

Chelsey Thomas brings more than two decades of national security, legislative, and federal policy experience to AEVEX.

SOLANA BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AEVEX Corp. (NYSE: AVEX) today announced the appointment of Chelsey Thomas as Vice President of Government Affairs. In her new role, Chelsey will lead AEVEX’s government engagement strategy for both federal and local levels, strengthen relationships across Capitol Hill and government associations, and help shape policy outcomes critical to the company’s mission and growth.

Thomas brings more than 25 years of experience in national security, federal policy, and executive‑branch and congressional engagement. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Government Relations at Booz Allen Hamilton, where she led advocacy across the Legislative and Executive Branches, aligned enterprise priorities with national‑security and budgetary initiatives, and served as the firm’s primary liaison to Congress, the White House, and senior federal officials.

Previously, Thomas spent more than a decade as a Professional Staff Member on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI), where she served as principal adviser to the Committee Chairman on CIA and covert‑action oversight. Her portfolio included in‑depth budget and programmatic reviews for multibillion‑dollar intelligence programs, cross‑committee investigations, legislative drafting, and classified annex management for annual intelligence authorization bills. She also represented U.S. congressional oversight priorities in engagements across the Middle East, Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia.

“Chelsey is an exceptional addition to the AEVEX team,” said Murali Krishnan, Chief Growth Officer of AEVEX. “Her deep experience navigating complex national‑security environments, shaping legislative outcomes, and advising senior government and industry leaders makes her uniquely suited to lead our government affairs strategy. Chelsey’s insight, relationships, and strategic mindset will be instrumental as AEVEX continues to scale and deliver mission‑critical capabilities for our customers.”

Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia Tech.
