Centinel Public Partnerships’ Military Housing Portfolio Posts Significant Gains in Resident Satisfaction

Cadence Communities at Rock Island Arsenal earned a 94.6 “Outstanding” overall satisfaction score, ranking No. 1 in Army Resident Satisfaction

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Centinel Public Partnerships (Centinel), one of the nation’s leaders in military housing, lodging and community development, saw its strongest housing satisfaction gains in three years in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force’s 2026 Tenant Satisfaction Survey, with a large majority of Army, Air Force and Space Force properties improving their overall satisfaction scores.

The Tenant Satisfaction Survey is an annual survey that gathers feedback from service members and their families about their privatized housing experiences, helping the military and privatized housing providers identify needs and improve services and community amenities.

“Resident feedback is one of the most important tools we have to understand what is working, where we need to improve and how we can better serve military families,” said Bradly Sax, vice president, Customer Strategy and Experience. “These results reflect the hard work of our teams across the portfolio and reinforce that improving resident experience is an ongoing commitment.”

Administered independently by CEL & Associates, Inc., the anonymous survey gathered feedback from more than 9,300 residents across Centinel’s Army, Air Force and Space Force military housing portfolio to guide future community improvements.

Following the previous survey cycle, Centinel focused employee training on the factors most closely tied to resident satisfaction, including responsiveness, management, leasing and maintenance. Technology enhancements expanded self-service options and simplified key resident interactions by shifting maintenance requests and leasing activities toward digital channels, making engagement faster and more convenient for residents.

Survey Highlights Include:

  • Centinel’s Army housing portfolio achieved significant year-over-year improvements across all three key satisfaction measures and the highest resident averages in three years. Overall Satisfaction increased by more than 3 points, Property Satisfaction increased by 3.5 points, and Service Satisfaction increased by 2.8 points.
  • Centinel Army properties improved their overall satisfaction scores year over year, with gains in desire to remain in military housing and willingness to recommend their community to others.
  • Centinel’s Air Force and Space Force properties improved their overall satisfaction scores year over year, with gains across all key satisfaction measures.
  • Nearly 44% of surveyed Army properties and 42% of Air Force and Space Force communities earned A List or Platinum A List recognition for customer service excellence.

“We know that housing is critical for service members to remain focused on their mission,” said Phillip Carpenter, president of Centinel. “At the heart of our work is our primary goal: creating communities where military families can live, work and thrive.”

Centinel continues to build on this progress through investments across its military housing portfolio—including a recently approved multimillion-dollar out-year development plan at Soaring Heights Communities at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base and Holloman Air Force Base and over $1.1 billion across its Army portfolio—reflecting an ongoing commitment to modernizing communities and delivering the quality, convenience and amenities military families need for success.
