The Awards Celebrate the Year’s Best Multicultural Advertising Campaigns

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Last night, during the 2023 ANA Multicultural Excellence Awards Gala in Las Vegas, Pod Digital Media (PDM) was presented with the 2023 ANA Multicultural Excellence Award in the Audio (Radio, Internet Radio, and Podcasts) category for its McDonald’s Change Leaders Live Podcast Activation campaign. Gary Coichy, CEO of PDM, accepted the award on the company’s behalf.

PDM is the first multicultural podcast agency network, representing more than 400 shows hosted by Black and Latino podcasters. Its award-winning campaign featured the stories of McDonald’s 2023 Black and Positively Golden Change Leaders, 10 brilliant young Black leaders who work every day on amazing initiatives to make a difference in their communities.

The Change Leaders live podcast activation, hosted by podcaster Kenny Burns, took place in Miami, Florida, in January 2023. The campaign exceeded all benchmarks: in-person engagement, influencer amplification, and custom episodes. PDM over-delivered on every detail, and McDonald’s was thrilled with the production, branded moments, and overall results.

Since 2001, the annual Association of National Advertisers (ANA) Multicultural Excellence Awards have showcased the best multicultural advertising campaigns that feature powerful cultural insights to help brands effectively connect with diverse consumers. Judged by a select jury of industry leaders, the awards represent best-in-class examples of multicultural marketing and celebrate brands taking strategic steps to ensure their engagement with multicultural consumer segments is relevant, creative, and compelling.
