Neurable and HyperX's Brain-Tracking Gaming Headset Earns Top Honors at CES 2026

Gaming neurotechnology headset featured across major "Best of CES" roundups for innovation and performance

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Neurable, the leader in noninvasive brain-computer interface (BCI) technology, and HP Inc.'s HyperX, a leading gaming brand, received industry recognition at CES 2026 for their collaboration on a first-of-its-kind gaming headset that integrates neurotechnology to help players level up their game play by optimizing focus and performance.

The headset prototype was honored in several prominent CES roundups, including Tom's Guide's "Best of CES 2026," TechRadar's "Best Headphones," SoundGuys' "Best of CES," and Headphonesty's "Most Futuristic Headset," among others. The collaboration attracted hands-on coverage from major gaming and technology outlets, including WIRED, IGN, PC Gamer, Mashable, and ZDNet, totaling 16 awards and recognitions for their innovative technology.

The prototype combines HyperX's gaming hardware expertise with Neurable's compact BCI technology, which reads electrical signals from the brain to provide real-time insights into focus, cognitive load, and mental state during gameplay. Unlike medical-grade EEG equipment, Neurable's technology fits invisibly within standard gaming headset form factors.

In preliminary testing with semi-professional esports athletes, the system's neurofeedback "Prime" feature showed measurable improvements in reaction time and accuracy during first-person shooter training sessions. TechRadar noted that "pro-level eSports players improved their target-aiming accuracy by around 3% after using the headphones' 'Priming' process," while reaction time improvements averaged around 40 milliseconds.

"HyperX allows us to bring neurotechnology to gamers at a scale we've never been able to reach before," said Dr. Ramses Alcaide, CEO and Co-Founder of Neurable. "This collaboration represents a future of gaming where understanding your mind becomes as natural as understanding your mechanics."

The technology is designed to help players understand when they're in optimal cognitive states for practice and competition, and when mental fatigue may be affecting performance. Tom's Guide described the hands-on experience as "a mightily exciting prospect" for competitive gaming applications.

"We've always been about empowering players with the best technology," said Josephine Tan, Senior Vice President and Division President of Personal Systems at HP Inc. "This collaboration with Neurable gives us the opportunity to explore how cognitive insights can make players more competitive."

The headset remains in prototype phase, with no announced release date or pricing. The collaboration demonstrates how brain-computer interface technology is moving from research applications into consumer gaming products, with the CES recognition reflecting growing industry interest in neurotechnology for performance optimization.
