NaphCare Charitable Foundation Announces Annual Scholarship Recipients Supporting Students in Alabama, Kentucky, and Mississippi

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The NaphCare Charitable Foundation (NCF) is proud to announce its scholarship award recipients for the 2026 academic year. This year, 38 students from schools across Alabama, Kentucky, and Mississippi were selected to receive one-time renewable scholarship awards of $5,000.

The NCF scholarship program benefits graduating high school seniors pursuing a 2-year associate’s degree or an approved training program at any accredited technical, trade, or community college in the United States. The scholarships are intended to cover tuition and fees, books, and other institutional expenses, further alleviating the financial burden often associated with higher education.

"It is an honor to support these incredible young scholars as they pursue their post-secondary goals," said Deanna Newton, Executive Director of Educational Giving. "Our mission is to remove financial barriers for students in the communities we serve. Seeing the dedication, hard work, and potential of this year’s recipients is truly inspiring, and we are proud to play a role in their journey toward academic and professional success."

NCF’s program focuses on providing financial support to students demonstrating significant financial need, with a special emphasis on supporting students in rural and underserved communities. This year’s expansion included adding Woodland High School to the program. Additionally, NCF continues its tradition of honoring community legacy right here in Birmingham through the Tommy Ward Memorial Scholarships at Vestavia Hills High School, established in memory of a beloved coach whose life was tragically cut short.
