VIVERSE Redefines the Creator Economy by Paying Creators for Engagement, Not Ad Impressions

The launch positions VIVERSE as a rare alternative for creators seeking revenue without contributing content to AI training models

BERKELEY, Calif. & TAIPEI, Taiwan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--VIVERSE, the web content distribution platform by HTC, today announced the VIVERSE Partner Program: a new performance-based rewards program that provides creators an equitable and transparent way to monetize games, videos, web apps, artwork and immersive content based on real audience engagement. The program pays creators based on unique views and engagement time, empowering them with a new, direct revenue stream that helps them monetize and grow their audience. Earnings accrue immediately through view-based payouts. Payouts occur once creators reach a minimum of $50 USD. A view is defined by watching, playing, or interacting with the content for at least 30 seconds. The Partner Program is free to join, and all creators, regardless of audience size, can participate.

“In today’s online economy, creators are often only paid when ads are served - leaving earnings at the mercy of ad inventory, blockers, geography, and fluctuating demand, causing promised CPMs to fall short of actual payouts,” said Andranik Aslanyan, Head of Growth, HTC VIVERSE. “VIVERSE removes that uncertainty by paying creators for real engagement, not ad impressions.”

Benefits of the VIVERSE Partner Program Include:

  • Make Money and Retain Ownership without Feeding AI Models. The Partner Program is non-exclusive, allowing creators to publish and monetize their work, including content already published on other platforms. Creators retain full ownership of their content. VIVERSE does not use creator content for AI or machine learning training, and all intellectual property remains with the creator. Creators earn money for views and grow their audience.
  • Publish on VIVERSE, Embed Everywhere, Boost Revenues. Content published to VIVERSE can be easily shared as a URL link that opens in browser – no install needed. Additionally, VIVERSE can be embedded in third-party websites as an iFrame, boosting views, engagement, and revenues.
  • For Creators Across All Disciplines. Designed for creators across disciplines - from game developers and video creators to web app builders and digital artists - the program supports multiple formats and engines, enabling creators to publish, grow their audiences, and earn based on audience engagement.
  • No Proprietary Tools Required – Publish and Earn Immediately. VIVERSE supports a wide range of web-ready formats without requiring proprietary tools or file types, eliminating platform lock-in. With no minimum follower or performance requirements, approved creators can publish immediately and start earning based on audience engagement.
  • Transparent Reporting at your Fingertips. Creators have access to transparent reporting that includes unique viewer counts and engagement time, with earnings calculated directly from these metrics. Additional analytics features are planned to become available in the near future.

“We get several benefits from hosting Frustrain on VIVERSE - from compensation based on viewership that keeps us motivated, to the ability to demonstrate our concept across platforms without getting bogged down in technical details,” said Gregory Molodtsov, Executive Producer of Frustrain and award winning XR & Film Director/Producer. “VIVERSE takes care of the infrastructure, and the audience insights help us plan future concept expansions.”
